You read it right! We're planning ahead - FYI for next year. Every five years, GEFC encourages its members to read through the Scriptures in a year. Next year (2017) will be the next time. We will once again be usint "The One Year Chronological Bible", and in 2017 Pastor Ron will be preaching a chronological overview of the entire Word through the year. Hopefully this will be helpful in thinking about your devotional study for 2016.

All women are invited to join us this Tuesday, Jan 5th at 3:30 in the Fellowship Hall, for a meeting to decide direction for our Women's Ministries in 2016. We need your input regarding the quilt show and other activities that we might have this year. We will also decide how to spend this years allotted money. Trustees and other groups can give their requests and suggestions to either Carol Willmon or Judy MkKinnon prior to the meeting. Ladies, please be in paryer to know fi God is calling you to join us. We need your ideas and past experiences.

The new Church Directory has arrived and is available at the back of the church. In order to insure we have a sufficient number please take only one copy per family! Thank you to Susan Bollman and crew for the hard work you put into making this directory possible..

The gift of formula from "Betty's Babies" is gratefully received! Thank you so much for thinking of the abandoned babies in Ethiopia that God has assigned to our care. Formula means the difference between a struggling child and a bright, robust child. Thank you SO MUCH! Joy Casey, Adoption Ministry of YWAM.

The Food Closet is open the Friday following the third Tuesday every month. Donations of canned items, personal hygiene products, and household cleaning items are always appreciated. If you would care to donate any of these items, they can be left in the kitchen or call us and we will arrange to get them from you.

We can't thank the members of this congregation enough for their continued generosity and their donations of food and funds for the Food Closet, and we so appreciate our many faithful and hard-working volunteers. The Lord has truly blessed this ministry.

Two members of our church family are collecting and redeeming aluminum cans and California redemption value plastic bottles and giving proceeds to GEFC. If you'd like to make donations contact Mike Buckley or Dick Faux (phone numbers available via the church office). You can drop items at their homes.

We are not collecting these items at the church, but if you wish to make a vehicle-to-vehicle transfer on Sunday morning, call Mike ahead and time and set up an appointment.
