Please join us on Sunday, April 26 at 3 p.m. for a oging away party in honor of Erma Cherry. The party will be held in the GEFC Fellowship Hall. A money tree will be available for those who wish to contribue.
On Thursday, May 7 at noon, the people of GEFC will be gathering in the Fellowship Hall for a time of praise, confession, thenakgiving, and supplication. It's been a while since we've met to pray together in this manner and the National Day of Prayer gives us the nudge to do so. Please seriously consider joining us.
In addition, the sanctuary will be open during hte daytime for those who want a place to pray in solitude. We will also be sending out Prayer Prompts durin gthe day to help you focus for prayer moments wherever you are.
We will have a combined service at 10am on Sunday, May 31st. Following that will be the annual church picnic at the McKinnons home.
VBS this year will be the last week of June 29 - July 2nd. Theme this year: Everest! Conquering Challanges with Gods Mighty Power! The price this year: FREE! As usual, we will have the all parents, kids, volunteers and those who successfully summited Evest on Thursday with a great BBQ.
Also as usual, volunteers are needed. Jesus calls us to make desciples of all (Matt 28:19)- so this is not optional. Call Miriam Martin or Pam at the church. Today. :-)
The gift of formula from "Betty's Babies" is gratefully received! Thank you so much for thinking of the abandoned babies in Ethiopia that God has assigned to our care. Formula means the difference between a struggling child and a bright, robust child. Thank you SO MUCH! Joy Casey, Adoption Ministry of YWAM.
The Food Closet is open the Friday following the third Tuesday every month. Donations of canned items, personal hygiene products, and household cleaning items are always appreciated. If you would care to donate any of these items, they can be left in the kitchen or call us and we will arrange to get them from you.
We can't thank the members of this congregation enough for their continued generosity and their donations of food and funds for the Food Closet, and we so appreciate our many faithful and hard-working volunteers. The Lord has truly blessed this ministry.
Two members of our church family are collecting and redeeming aluminum cans and California redemption value plastic bottles and giving proceeds to GEFC. If you'd like to make donations contact Mike Buckley or Dick Faux (phone numbers available via the church office). You can drop items at their homes.
We are not collecting these items at the church, but if you wish to make a vehicle-to-vehicle transfer on Sunday morning, call Mike ahead and time and set up an appointment.
