This year we will be reading in the Gospels, corresponding to Pastor Ron's Sunday messages. Each Sunday we'll put the following weekks Scripture passages in the bulletin. You can also follow along using 'The One-Year Chronological Bible'. (We can guarantee that the New Living Translation's passages correspond to our listed readings. Others may also, but not all do.) This the easiest way to do the readings.
The Men's Bible Study will pickup again on Monday, January 6th. See you at 8:30am!
The womans bible study will meet on Thursdays at 9:30am. Starting Jan 9, we will be using the DVD / workbook stody by Priscilla Schirer; "Discerning the voice of God".
This study will challange your level of anticipation to hear from God, look in-depth at the Holy Spirit as God's primary method of leading His children; cover the nature of God's voice which reveals His character and His purposes and will examine what our response should be when God speaks.
Bonnie Phillips will facilitate this Bible study at the home of Sharon Hunt. Call the church for directions for phone info, and if you wan tto purchase your workbook, contact the church or purchase it online. We look forward seeing you there, and becoming better equipped ot hear the magnificent voice of our great God!
You may be saved by grace, but good works (like helping the trustees in keeping up the joint) can be a fun way to fellowship and help us out at the same time. Come and join us clean up and fix up... Saturday, January 11 starting at 9am.

Two members of our church family are collecting and redeeming aluminum cans and California redemption value plastic bottles and giving proceeds to GEFC. If you'd like to make donations contact Mike Buckley or Dick Faux (phone numbers available via the church office). You can drop items at their homes.
We are not collecting these items at the church, but if you wish to make a vehicle-to-vehicle transfer on Sunday morning, call Mike ahead and time and set up an appointment.
